Object Simulation Center Frequency Selection
The object simulation center frequency is the center frequency of the signal emitted by your radar under test.
Providing the object simulation center frequency and object simulation bandwidth allows NI-VRTS to select the appropriate simulation band and make accurate calculations.
In LabVIEW, set the Obj. Sim. Center Frequency and Obj. Sim. Bandwidth properties with the corresponding characteristics of your radar signal under test. NI-VRTS automatically selects the band that would incorporate that signal, with preference for Band 1.
For example, if you set Obj. Sim. Center Frequency to 76.6 GHz and Obj. Sim. Bandwidth to 500 MHz, NI-VRTS sets the instrument center frequency to 78 GHz and therefore selects Band 1.
If you set Obj. Sim. Center Frequency to 80 GHz and Obj. Sim. Bandwidth to 500 MHz, NI-VRTS sets the instrument center frequency to 79 GHz and therefore selects Band 2.
You can also set the Instrument Center Frequency property in LabVIEW independently of the Obj. Sim. Center Frequency property, which is necessary when running measurement tests in Band 0 and Band 3.
