Measurement and Simulation Bands

There are four frequency bands available to use with the VRTS with 4 GHz Bandwidth, two of which are intended for measurement only.
The following figure shows each of the four instrument bands available to users:
Object simulation is possible using Band 1 and Band 2 only. Measurement is possible in all four bands.
Attempting to use Band 0 or Band 3 for object simulation triggers a warning and causes NI-VRTS to coerce the Enabled property to FALSE on every object, preventing simulation.
You may either manually select a band using the Instrument Center Frequency property in LabVIEW or allow NI-VRTS to make the selection automatically.
The following table defines the instrument center frequency value that corresponds with each band:
Band | Instrument Center Frequency |
---|---|
0 | 77 GHz |
1 | 78 GHz |
2 | 79 GHz |
3 | 80 GHz |
