You can run NI VLM with a command line option to export a list of current permissions to a file.

Note You cannot run command line options while the NI VLM user interface is running.

To export current permissions, run NI Volume License Manager with the following command line option:

        NiVlm.exe /exportClientPermissions <filepath>

Example: "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Volume License Manager\NiVlm.exe" /exportClientPermissions C:\temp\myFile.csv

The resulting comma-separated value (CSV) file contains client names, client custom field values, and a license permissions.

If a client has permissions to multiple licenses, then the exported CSV file will contain a line for every license permission, and all other client-related data is duplicated. If a client has no permissions, then there will be a single row for that client without license information. If a license has no assigned permissions, the license will not be listed in the file.

License values specify the type and concurrency model, in parenthesis, for the four possibilities: Named-User, Named-User Concurrent, Computer-Based, and Computer-Based Concurrent.
