Use the VeriStand Virtual ECU Toolkit to integrate and execute virtual electronic control units (ECUs) you created using third-party software from a supported vendor.

An ECU is an embedded automotive system that controls other subsystems. When performing hardware-in-the loop (HIL) testing, you can use a virtual ECU in the place of a real ECU in the following situations:

  • Hardware is not available for testing.
  • In place of rest bus models that represent ECUs in a network.
