USB-6509 Overview

The USB-6509 is a bus-powered digital input/output (I/O) device that features 96 TTL/CMOS-compatible digital I/O lines, a watchdog timer, digital input filtering, change detection, output programmable power-up states, and an optional external DC power supply for increasing the I/O drive strength.

Key Features

The USB-6509 has the following features and capabilities.

  • 96 bidirectional digital I/O lines, 5 V TTL, direction configurable on a per-port basis
  • 24 mA current drive per channel (sink or source)
  • ±20 V input protection on up to two pins
  • User-configurable pull-up and pull-down tasks with 100 kΩ I/O pull resistors
  • Software-timed inputs and outputs
  • Optional external +12 VDC power supply to increase the current drive capacity
