Customizing TestStand Sequence Editor Toolbars and Menus
The default toolbars and menus in the TestStand Sequence Editor are fully customizable.
You can rearrange top-level menus and toolbar items within a toolbar by holding down the
<Alt> key and dragging the menu or toolbar command to a new location.
Note Select View»Reset UI Configuration at any time to reset the user
interface to the default configuration, which reverts all modifications made to
docking panes, menus, and toolbars.
The Customize dialog box contains the following tabs:
- Toolbars—Controls the visibility of toolbars, creates new toolbars, and resets the commands available in toolbars.
- Commands—The available commands for menus and toolbars. You
can drag and drop commands from the Commands tab to menus or toolbars to the menus
and toolbars in the main application. You can also remove a command from a menu or
toolbar by dragging the command from the main application and dropping it in the
Commands control.
You can also drag and drop commands between toolbars and menus to rearrange the order of toolbars and menus. Select Rearrange to launch the Rearrange Commands dialog box, in which you can add, delete, and rearrange the commands within menus and toolbars.
- Options—Specifies whether the sequence editor personalizes menus and toolbars, shows icons for menus and toolbars, shows toolbar tips, and if toolbar animation is enabled.
You can also click Keyboard in the Customize dialog box to launch
the Customize Keyboard dialog box, in which you can customize the shortcut keys for all
commands.
Note The Customize Keyboard dialog box does not allow you to
assign a single key to multiple commands. However the default configurations assign
the <F5> and <Ctrl–F5> keys to multiple commands, such as Run Test UUTs,
Restart, and Continue. If you attempt to reassign these keys to another command, the
Customize Keyboard dialog box unassigns only one of the default assignments.
When the Customize dialog box is visible, you can also right-click a menu, a menu command, or a toolbar command to display a context menu for customizing the appearance of a command.
