Adding Rule Settings for Custom Rules in the TestStand Sequence Analyzer

Complete the following steps to add rule settings for users to configure custom rules.
  1. On the Advanced tab of the Edit Rule dialog box, select Use Rule Settings from the Configuration Option ring control.
  2. Click the Add button to add a new setting.
  3. Use the Rule Settings table to edit the name, type, and default value for the new setting. Rule settings can have number, string, Boolean, or enumeration types. Click the Enums button to launch the Edit Rule Settings Enumerations dialog box, in which you create new rule settings enumeration types to use for rule settings.
    Note When you add rule settings to a custom rule, the Rules pane or tab displays a Settings button next to the rule in the Edit Rule dialog box. Click the Settings button to launch the Rule Settings dialog box.
