Double-click a value element of a string property or a comment element in the Differences table of the TestStand File Diff and Merge utility or right-click either element and select Edit Value or Use Custom Change from the context menu to launch the View Change Details dialog box, in which you can review long string values and edit the value of the element.

The View Change Details dialog box contains the following option:

• Value In < filename > —The string value for the file. This option is available for every file you are comparing. When you compare two files, you can edit the value of the file from which you launched this dialog box. For example, if you launch this dialog box from the File 1 column in the Differences table, you can update the value only for the first file. When you compare three files, you can edit only the value of the merged file.

Click the Launch External Diff/Merge Tool button to launch the external tool specified on the External Diff/Merge Tool tab of the File Differ Options dialog box.

Click OK to apply any changes to the value.
