Product Configuration View

Product

A listing of the product names collected from the SCM server as defined in the Connection Configuration View . You must select a product to view and select its associated categories. The product name is saved as an SCM attribute.

Categories

A listing of category names associated with the selected product name. A category represents a common collection of product specifications. You must select one or more categories to get the associated product specifications. The categories are saved as an SCM attribute.

Refresh Button

Retrieves categories for the selected product when there is existing SCM data in the active sequence file. The Refresh button does not appear if SCM data is not present in the active sequence file.

Note The Manage Specifications dialog box will not retrieve the categories for the selected product automatically when opening the dialog on a sequence file with existing imported SCM data. The Refresh button must be clicked to retrieve the categories.

View Changes Button

Launches the View Differences dialog box, which displays a preview of the changes for the active sequence file when importing newly retrieved SCM data. The View Changes button only appears if differences are detected between SCM data in the active sequence file and newly retrieved SCM data after clicking the Refresh button.
