Connection Configuration View
Connection Configuration View
The Connection Configuration View is shown when defining the connection configuration to the SCM server, or if the connection configuration for the current sequence file is invalid. If a valid connection configuration has already been defined for the current sequence file, the Connection Configuration View is not shown.
Server
The URL of the SCM server you are connecting to. The value is saved with the imported specifications as an SCM attribute. The default value is: https://specmanagement.io/
API Token
The alphanumeric API token value created in your SCM server to access SCM REST APIs. The Connection Configuration View encrypts the value when importing it to the sequence file as an SCM attribute. The encryption is directly associated with a Windows user and machine. Users must enter an API token value when using a sequence file with an existing saved SCM configuration on a new Windows user or machine, even if the saved configuration is valid.
Connect Button
Validates the Server and API Token values. The Product Configuration View is shown if the Server and API Token values are valid. Otherwise, the Connection Configuration View persists, and an error is reported. The Connect button is enabled after setting the API Token value.
