Install the SLSC module in the SLSC chassis.
Caution The SLSC-12001
chassis and the SLSC modules do not support hot plug-in. Ensure that you power off
the entire chassis before installing a module.
Caution Power off the main
DC power source or disconnect the power source from the chassis before installing
the module. To remove power completely, you must disconnect all power cables.
Note Refer to the module
documentation and the rear transition interface documentation to ensure electrical
compatibility for rear I/O connections.
- Power off the chassis and confirm that the POWER LED is off. If the LED is not off, do not proceed until the POWER LED is off.
- Power off any alternate power sources connected to rear transition interfaces and additional modules.
- Inspect the slot pins on the chassis backplane for any bending or damage prior to installing a module.
- Place the module PCB into the front of the PCB guides at the top and bottom of the chassis.
- Slide the module into the chassis until you begin to feel resistance.
- Latch the module in place by pulling up on the ejector handle.
- Secure the module front panel to the chassis using the module front panel mounting screws.
