Add-On Software for Generation

NI provides the following add-on software toolkits, which extend the capability of the RF vector signal generator.

RFmx Waveform Creator

The RFmx Waveform Creator provides an easy-to-use interface to create and generate generic RF and cellular signals quickly and easily. Signal configurations can be saved in the rfws format and the waveforms can be saved in the TDMS file format for future use.

NI-RFSG Playback Library

The NI-RFSG Playback Library extends the functionality of the NI-RFSG API by adding the ability to easily load and playback waveforms from TDMS files created by the NI software. Use the NI-RFSG Playback library API in conjunction with waveforms generated using the RFmx Waveform Creator to easily generate RF waveforms in the ADE environment of your choice (LabVIEW/LabWindows/CVI/Visual Studio).
