NI recommends using NI MAX to create aliases for instruments that will be used and controlled by the RF Recording Software.

  • VSTs—NI recommends that you name each PXIe-5841 in your system numerically beginning with the left-most slot of Chassis 0: VST_00, VST_01, and so on. Continue numbering each PXIe-5841 in additional chassis in your system: VST_08, VST_09, and so on.

    VST_00 is the master VST in your system

  • Synchronization Modules—NI recommends that you name each PXIe-6674T numerically beginning with the module in Chassis 0, then moving to Chassis 1, then Chassis 2: 6674T_00, 6674T_01, and 6674T_02.

    6674T_00 is the master synchronization module in your system

  • LO Source—NI recommends that you name the PXIe-5655 in your system LO Source.
  • LO Amplifier—NI recommends that you name the SCT SC2215 in your system LO Amplifier.
