A variables grid provides the same functionality as a variables window, but you can place the variables grid on a dashboard.

You can define the following elements in a variables grid:

  • Title
  • Size constraint
  • Text
  • Background color
  • Trailing pointer.
Note The variables window shows variables, variable units, and the current values in a table. Columns can be shown as well. For example, show columns with a linear gauge of values or to enter new values. The variables window replaces operator intervention in earlier versions of PAcontroller. Add or remove variables from the display at PAcontroller run time. Configure warning limits and shut-off limits. Customize the displayed columns individually.

Unlike the variables window, the variables in a variable grid are stored in the variables table. The work area or dashboard are also stored in the variables table.
