You can add any of the available instruments in the Toolbox system window to a dashboard. All the instruments you would like to create must be placed on a dashboard. It is not possible to create instruments in a system window. You can further customize individual instruments with a parametrization window.

The following options are available for creating a new instrument:

  • Create an instrument from the Toolbox
  • Create an instrument from the variable list
  • Create an instrument from a PAconfigurator group
  • Duplicate an existing instrument

Creating an Instrument from the Toolbox

Drag the required element out of the Toolbox and drop it onto the dashboard.

Creating an Instrument from the Variable List

Create the instrument variables to display in the Variable List and drag these variables out of the variable list and onto the dashboard. When the pop-up menu appears, choose which new instrument to create that represents the variables.

Note If you have marked multiple variables in the Variable List, you can only insert them as a chart, bar chart, or variables grid. If only one variable is selected, you also have the option of adding that variable as a digital display, linear gauge or circular gauge.

Creating an Instrument from a PAconfigurator Group

Drag any group out of PAconfigurator and onto the dashboard.

Duplicating an Existing Instrument

Use the instrument context menu and chose the appropriate menu item. An identical copy of the first instrument is created next to the original. Allow layout changes and position the duplicate at the desired location.
