The digital display shows the value of a variable digitally.

Introduced in PAtools 7.0

As with the circular or linear gauge, you can configure warning and shut-off limits.

If the warning limits are exceeded, the color of the letters changes to the warning color. A bar at the top of the digital display also refers to the warning status.

If shut-off limits are exceeded, the color of the bar changes to the error color.

Defining a Variable

Use one of the following options to define the display variable:

  • Type the name of the variable directly into the input box for the title. A name selection list opens below the title. Then, you can select the desired variable.
  • In the Properties dialog, define the name of the variable whose value displays in the Variable field. The selected variable is automatically applied as the title for the instrument.
