Specify host names when DNS servers are not available. In addition, specify host names that the PXI controller must resolve.

If the PXI controller wants to determine a host name, the PXI controller obtains the information from a DNS server. If the PXI controller does not receive a positive response from the specified servers, you must specify a host. If you don't specify a host, the name resolution is abandoned.

Complete the following steps to specify hosts:

  1. Open PCU configuration settings » Network » Hosts.
  2. Add a table entry with the following parameters for each PXI controller.
    1. Click +.
    2. Enter the Name of the PXI controller that must be resolved.
    3. For Ip, enter the IP4 address of the PXI controller.
    Note The table cannot contain empty rows. Remove empty rows from the table if necessary.
