Configuring Clock Sources and System Channels
Configure clock settings and system channels in PAtools PCU Configuration.
PAtools supports the software clock.
- The software clock is the standard clock source for functions up to and including 100 Hz.
- Software clocks are resource saving.
- The software clock is exactly 1000 cycles per second.
- The clock source might not be suitable for fast control.
Configuring System Channels
Configure system channels to determine free CPU time, free memory, free disk space, and the state of the uninterruptible power supply (UPS). System channels can also determine the fan speed, temperature, and voltages of the main board in the PXI controller.

Right-click the Hardware folder and select
Add item.
The configuration window appears.

For IdRef, select the
UPSSerialDevice driver
The UPSSerialDevice driver detects the state of the UPS through a serial interface.
