Battery Back and Battery Module Test Station Configurations
For pack and module tests, the control test is required if you are testing multiple DUTs that share a common resource. For example, a common resource might include a climate chamber.
One DUT per Climate Chamber
If you have one DUT per climate chamber, you can implement the climate chamber driver into the operating test. Because a control test is not required in this case, the modules for the user datagram protocol (UDP) connection are not required.
Two to Four DUTs per Climate Chamber
If you have two to four DUTs in one climate chamber, the climate chamber driver is in the control test. Each DUT test sends its own climate chamber temperature request and humidity request to the climate chamber driver in the control test. The control test evaluates which operating test can control the climate chamber.
Load a control test onto every fifth runtime system starting with 0. If you load a control test on a runtime system that is not suitable for a control test, an error message appears in PAcontroller. The test does not run when the error message is active.
Load operating tests on runtime systems that are not a multiple of five. Operating tests loaded on subsequent runtime systems belong to the preceding control test.
Climate Chamber Configuration | Runtime System Operation |
---|---|
A climate chamber that can test four DUTs | The control test is on runtime system 0. The operating tests on runtime systems 1, 2, 3, and 4 belong to the control test on runtime system 0. If the climate chamber runs on runtime system 0, the operating tests belong to the climate chamber. |
Two climate chambers that can both test two DUTs | The first control test runs on runtime system 0, and the operating tests run on runtime systems 1 and 2. The second control test runs on runtime system 5, and the operating tests run on runtime systems 6 and 7. In this configuration, you can deactivate runtime systems 3, 4, 8, and 9. |
