Generating a Signal Using the NI-RFSG Soft Front Panel

To verify your device configuration, use the NI-RFSG Soft Front Panel (SFP) in MAX to generate a simple signal. The NI-RFSG SFP allows you to interactively control your NI-RFSG device and tests all the hardware modules as a single instrument.
- Select the device name in the configuration tree.

Click Soft Front Panel in the MAX toolbar.
The NI-RFSG SFP launches.

In the NI-RFSG SFP, specify a frequency and a power
level for signal generation.
Notice Clicking RF On/Off generates a signal from the output terminals on the device. Disconnect any equipment that can be damaged by the test signal prior to clicking the RF On/Off button on the NI-RFSG SFP.

Click RF On/Off to begin signal generation.
During signal generation the ACTIVE LED on the NI-RFSG device illuminates.
- Click RF On/Off to stop the signal generation.
