If your device does not appear in MAX, complete the following steps:
- Verify that you have followed the software installation steps properly.
- In the MAX Configuration pane, click Devices and Interfaces.
- Expand the Chassis tree to see the list of installed devices, and press F5 to refresh the list.
- If the module is still not listed, disconnect all external signals from the hardware, power off
the system, ensure that all hardware is correctly installed, and restart the system.
Caution Disconnect or disable any external connections to the module front panel before powering off the device. Applying external signals while the device is powered off may cause damage.
- In Windows, navigate to the Device Manager.
- If you are using a PXI controller, verify that a NI entry appears in the system device list. If error conditions appear in the list, right-click the NI-RIO FPGA Device node and your device node and select Update Driver. If you are using a MXI controller, right-click PCI-to-PCI Bridge and select Properties from the shortcut menu to verify that the bridge is enabled.
- Restart your computer.
- If the device still fails to appear in MAX, contact NI technical support or visit ni.com/support.
