Creating Stand-Alone Real-Time Applications

Use the LabVIEW Application Builder to build a stand-alone real-time application that runs automatically when you power on an RT target. You can deploy a stand-alone real-time application from the Project Explorer window or from outside of the LabVIEW development environment, depending on your application needs.
Note You also can set a VI as the startup VI for an RT target without
creating a stand-alone real-time application if you do not have access to the
Application Builder. Refer to the NI website for information about setting VIs as
startup VIs for RT targets.
