You must enable the Web Server on an RT target and add a computer to the access list of the target to view and control the front panel of a VI running on the target from the computer using LabVIEW.
Complete the following steps to add a computer to the access list of an RT target:
- Right-click an RT target in the Project Explorer window and select Properties from the shortcut menu to display the RT target Properties dialog box.
- Click Web Server in the Category list. The Web Server page appears in the right pane.
- Scroll the page to view the Browser Access section.
- Click the Add button to add a new entry in the Browser Access List.
- Enter the IP address of the computer to which you want to allow access in the
Browser Address text box. You can enter a domain
name, such as mydomain.com, or use wildcard characters in the
IP address, such as *.164.123.123 to allow access to an entire
domain.Note If the Web Server runs on an RT target that does not have access to a DNS server, do not use domain name entries in the Browser Access List.
- Select Allow Viewing and Controlling, Allow
Viewing, or Deny Access to set the access
for the IP address. Two green checkmarks appear to the left of the item when you
allow viewing and controlling of the front panel, a single green checkmark
appears when you allow only viewing of the front panel, and a red
X appears when you deny access.Note If an entry does not have one or two green checkmarks or a red X by its name, the syntax for the entry is incorrect. Edit the entry or click the Remove button to delete the entry.
- Click the OK button to close the RT target Properties dialog box and save the changes.
