Acknowledging Alarms

The LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) Module generates alarms when pre-defined behaviors or errors occur in DSC Module applications. Acknowledging alarms ensures that you notice the unexpected or bad values of shared variables.
When you configure alarms, you can configure the DSC Module to acknowledge alarms either
automatically or manually. Automatic acknowledgement occurs when an alarm is no longer
active. An alarm is active when the alarm remains in the alarm state. Manual
acknowledgement allows the alarm to persist until you acknowledge this alarm. In this
situation, you must explicitly acknowledge the alarm. You also must acknowledge each
instance of an alarm separately.
Note If you do not acknowledge the
previous alarm instance, the DSC Module does not generate additional alarms when the
alarm becomes active again.
You can acknowledge alarms by using the methods referenced in the Related Concepts.
