ParameterDescription
Initial ModelsSpecifies which components to include in the system model. Select a component in this tree and use the options to the right to view its model equation and import a new model equation, if necessary.

LabVIEW requires you to include a controller and a plant in the system model.
NameIdentifies the model you select in the Initial Models tree. The field below this text box draws a picture of the model equation you supply for the selected model.

The following buttons appear above the Name text box and allow you to import and export model information for the model you select in the Initial Models tree:
  • Initialize Model—Clears a model you previously loaded or pasted.
  • Load Model—Loads model information from a data file.
  • Save Model—Saves model information to a data file. This file is compatible with the Control Design VIs and functions.
  • Copy to Clipboard—Copies the current model definition to the clipboard. From the clipboard, you can paste the model on the block diagram or into another configuration dialog box of the same model form.
  • Paste from Clipboard—Pastes model information from the clipboard to the configuration dialog box.
Feedback SignSpecifies whether the feedback connections are positive or negative.
Controller TopologyDisplays the locations of controller-related models you select in the Initial Models tree. The system you represent in this display must match the system in which you want to implement the controller you design.
