This asynchronous node reads data from the host and writes it to the FIFO or circular buffer represented by the asynchronous data wire. It creates two buffers. Data is read from the host using a DMA FIFO created in the project for you. This data is written into a second local FIFO or a circular buffer represented by an asynchronous data wire.

Data Out returns data, read from the DMA buffer, into an asynchronous wire. The name of this terminal varies. Click the left glyph (), labeled DMA, to configure the DMA buffer. Click the right glyph to configure the buffer for the asynchronous data wire ( or ). Supported Data Exchange Policy: FIFO, circular buffer.

User-Enabled Terminals

This node has one terminal you can enable by selecting an option from the node shortcut menu.

Clock domain Right-click the node and select Clock domain»Use clock terminal to enable the Clock domain terminal. If you enable this terminal, wire a base or derived clock from one of the other nodes on this palette to the Clock domain input terminal.
