Large Panel Overview
The large panel displays connected devices, configured channels, measurement parameters, and acquisitions. Use this panel to configure measurements, view applications, capture data, view data, and log data for voltage, current, and power measurements.
The large panel includes the following options.
- Run: Starts or stops an acquisition.
- Mode: Sets the acquisition to be either continuous or finite. For finite acquisitions, specify time the Test Time in seconds.
- Add Channel: Clicking Add Channel
configures terminals or pins at which you can measure signals. Channels also
encapsulate channel-specific information such as the voltage range that formats the
data. Note To duplicate one or more added channels, including their configuration, right click the channel or channels to be duplicated in the large panel, and use Copy and Paste. To select multiple channels, hold the <Shift> key and then click on any channels you want to copy and paste.
- Start/Stop Log: Begins logging or recording data.
- Search: Lists the compatible devices detected by the Power Validation Add-On for InstrumentStudio.
- Trigger: Lists the actions that cause Power Validation Add-On for InstrumentStudio to mark or begin an acquisition on a specified channel. You can specify the type of trigger and whether the trigger occurs if the Slope is rising or falling and the Level at which a trigger will occur.
- Dynamics Graphs: Displays channel-specific waveform data such as the mean, minimum, and maximum waveform values.
- Instrument view (
): Displays the terminal connections (pinouts) for any
connected device. - List view (
): Shows the connections as a list for any connected
device.
