This section describes how to install and use the DA200025X.
- Begin by supplying power to the DA200025X using the provided power supply.
- To install the provided power cord, plug the cable into the power input (shown in the following figure) on the rear of the main probe body connected to the scope, and connect the outlet plug into the mains power outlet.
Figure 1. DA200025X Power Input 1. Power Input - Connect the BNC output connector to the desired input channel of an oscilloscope or digitizer. The digitizer input must have 50 Ω input impedance and must be ground referenced.
- Connect the inputs of the DA200025X to the circuit under test using the provided probe tip accessories. For more information about using the probe tip accessories. refer to the Using the Probe Tip Accessories section below.
Using the Probe Tip Accessories
The DA200025X differential active probe kit includes an accessory kit with multiple probe tip accessories. This section describes each accessory and its use with the DA200025X. The DA20025X features socketed inputs with an industry standard size of 2.54 mm (0.1 in), allowing interfacing with a variety of connectivity options.
Dual-Signal Pins
These small pins are meant to be inserted directly into the probe tip openings and provide the best signal quality because of their short length. The dual-signal pins are 12.8 mm in length.
Extension Leads
The accessory kit includes extension leads in 5 cm and 10 cm lengths. You can use these leads to extend the measurement pins' length if necessary for your test setup, and to use the micro test and pincer clips. To install the extension leads, first insert them directly into the probe tip openings, then insert signal pins or clips directly into the other ends of the extension leads.
Micro SMD, Micro Test, and Pincer Clips
The accessory kit includes two types of test clips, including two small micro test clips and two larger pincer clips. To use these clips, complete the following steps:
- Insert the Y-Leads directly into the openings of the probe tip.
- Insert the clips into the end of the extension leads as follows:
- Insert the micro test clip directly into the extension leads using the
pin on the back end of the clip, as shown in the following figure.
