Copy/Paste

The Copy button  copies selected waveform components or sections to the clipboard. You can also right-click the selection on the waveform graph and use the Copy or Copy Component options. Refer to shortcuts for tips on making waveform selections.

Note  If an entire waveform component is copied to the clipboard, the component specifications are also copied. If the selection is not an entire component, only arbitrary data is copied.

To paste data from the clipboard into your waveform, right-click a waveform component and select Paste Before Component or Paste After Component to paste the clipboard data before or after the component.

Undo

Undo  is available for changes performed within the main window. The number of undo steps can be customized by selecting Tools»Options»Undo from the main menu.

Add Component

The Add Component  button opens the Component Editor in a new window. The Component Editor is used to add components, insert primitives (including filter primitives), and insert formula primitives.

Zoom

The Zoom In  and Zoom Out  buttons zoom in and out about the center of the waveform graph.

The Zoom to Selection button zooms in and out on a portion of the waveform graph you have selected using the mouse cursor. Refer to shortcuts for tips on making waveform selections.

The View Entire Waveform button scales the waveform graph so that the entire waveform is visible.

Note  These zoom options are also available from the View pull-down menu.

Generate Waveform

The Generate Waveform  button generates a waveform on NI hardware using the NI-FGEN Express VIs.

Note  NI-FGEN version 2.4 or later and NI SignalExpress are required to use this button. If NI SignalExpress is not installed, the Generate Waveform button is not visible.
