String Value Test Edit Tabs
Use the String Value Test edit tabs in the TestStand Sequence Editor to specify the type of comparison and limits TestStand uses to set the step status and the string the step expects to receive.
The Step Settings pane for the String Value Test step contains the following tabs:
- Limits –The string comparison the step performs.
- Data Source –The data source for the string value the step compares.
Note
When you paste values into the Expression Edit control, the control removes any
\r
and
\n
characters. National Instruments recommends that you use escape codes in the expression string to ensure that
\r
and
\n
characters are specified properly for a comparison.
