Complete the following steps to create a Strip Line model:

  1. From the Model tab of the Component Properties dialog box, click Add/Edit. The Select a Model dialog box appears.
  2. Click Start model maker. The Select Model Maker dialog box appears.
  3. From the Model makers list, select Strip Line and click Accept. The Strip Line Model dialog box appears.
  4. Click the Electrical characteristics tab.
  5. Enter the following values:
    • Relative dielectric constant—Refer to εr in the figure below.
    • Operating frequency
    • Resistivity
    • Loss tangent
  6. Click the Linear dimensions tab.
  7. Refer to the figure below as required and enter the following values:

    • Conductor length
    • Conductor width
    • Dielectric thickness
    • Conductor thickness
