You can rotate or flip a placed component by using the context menu or selecting the component and using commands from the Edit menu.

The instructions below describe the context menu method only. However, the commands for rotating/flipping placed components that are found in the Edit menu are the same.

Complete the following steps to rotate a component:

  1. Right-click on the component.
  2. Choose Rotate 90° clockwise from the context menu that appears to rotate the component 90 degrees clockwise.

    Or

Choose Rotate 90° counter clockwise to rotate the component 90 degrees counter clockwise.

Text associated with the component, such as labels, and values and model information, are repositioned and rotated as a result of your action. Pin numbers rotate along with the associated pin. Any wires attached to the component are moved automatically to maintain their connections. If you do not want this to happen, it can be controlled in the Wiring box of the General tab of the Global Options dialog box.

Complete the following steps to flip a component:

  1. Right-click on the component.
  2. Choose Flip horizontal from the context menu that appears to flip the component horizontally.

    Or

Choose Flip vertical to flip the component vertically.

Text associated with the component, such as labels, model information and values, may be repositioned, but is not flipped. Any wires attached to the component are moved automatically.
