Microstrip Line

Complete the following steps to create a Microstrip Line model:

1. From the Model tab of the Component Properties dialog box, click Add/Edit. The Select a Model dialog box appears.
2. Click Start model maker. The Select Model Maker dialog box appears.
3. From the Model makers list, select Microstrip Line and click Accept. The Microstrip Line Model dialog box appears.
4. Click the Electrical characteristics tab.
5. Refer to the figure below as required and enter the following values:

   

   • Relative dielectric constant
   • Operating frequency
   • Resistivity
   • Loss tangent
6. Click the Linear dimensions tab.
7. Refer to the figure above as required and enter the following values:
   • Conductor length
   • Conductor width
   • Dielectric thickness
   • Conductor thickness
