Library Import

You can import components into the Multisim database, and parts into the Ultiboard database from Open EDA component library files (*.oecl).
For details on EDA component library files, refer to the Open EDA Component Library Format manual, installed in ...<install directory>\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite <version>\documentation\OECL Format Description.pdf.
Complete the following steps:
- Select File»Open, navigate to the desired .oecl file and click Open.
Or
Drag and drop the desired .oecl file into Multisim.
The Library Import dialog box displays.
- Complete the following to set the destination for Multisim components:
- Select the desired items in the Components list. <Ctrl-click> to multi-select.
- Select the desired database, component group and component family in the Destination list.
Or
Click New to create a new component family as needed.
Refer to the Library Import Dialog for details as needed.
If you create a component family in error, you can delete it using the Database Manager. Refer to the Managing Families section for details.
- Complete the following to set the destination for Ultiboard parts:
- Select the desired items in the Parts list.
- Select the desired database in the Destination list.
Or
Click New to create a new part group as needed.
Refer to the Library Import Dialog for details as needed.
If you create a part group in error, you can delete it using the Database Manager in Ultiboard. Refer to Ultiboard Help for more information.
- Click Import to import the selected components and parts to the selected locations.
