Complete the following steps to create an Interdigital Capacitor model:

  1. From the Model tab of the Component Properties dialog box, click Add/Edit. The Select a Model dialog box appears.
  2. Click Start model maker. The Select Model Maker dialog box appears.
  3. From the Model makers list, select Interdigital Capacitor and click Accept. The Interdigital Capacitor Model dialog box appears.
  4. Click the Electrical characteristics tab.
  5. Refer to the figure below as required and enter the following values:

    • Relative dielectric constant
    • Operating frequency
    • Resistivity
    • Shunt capacitance at input node
    • Shunt capacitance at output node
    • Series inductor between nodes
    • Series resistance
  6. Click the Linear dimensions tab.
  7. Refer to the figure above as required and enter the following values:
    • Number of fingers
    • Finger length
    • Finger width
    • Substrate height
    • Space between fingers
    • Strip thickness
    • Finger end gap
    • External terminal width
