Complete the following steps to export a selected component:

  1. Click the Database Manager button on the Main toolbar.

    Or

    Choose Tools»Database»Database manager.

  2. Select the Components tab in the Database Manager dialog box.
  3. Select the desired component.
  4. Click Export.

    A standard Windows save dialog appears.

  5. Navigate to the desired location, and enter the desired File name.
  6. In the Save as type field, select one of:
    • Component packed file (*.prz)—Select to export all fields in the database for the selected component. (You must import this file into Multisim to read it).
    • User fields only (Comma delimited) file (*.csv)—Select to export the selected component's user fields into a .csv file.
    • User fields only (Tab delimited) file (*.txt)—Select to export the selected component's user fields into a .txt file.
  7. Click Save.
