Placed components appear in one of the following default colors:

  • Black—Indicates a component that has a symbol and a model, and is therefore available for schematic capture and simulation only. The component has no package, and therefore cannot be exported for PCB layout.
  • Blue—Indicates a component that has a symbol, model, and package, and is therefore available for schematic capture, simulation, and PCB layout.
  • Green—Indicates a component that has a symbol and a package, but no model, and is therefore available for schematic capture and PCB layout only.

      You can change the color of a placed component with the Symbol Editor.
