Use the items on the I/O palette with functions to acquire or manipulate waveform data, share data between applications, and specify an instrument or device resource to control or communicate with.

The I/O subpalette on the Controls palette includes two general types of controls:

  • Controls for specific types of waveforms and digital data.
  • I/O name controls, which accept a resource name. Use I/O name controls to identify an instrument or device to access, such as DAQ devices or VISA resources.
