PCI, 2-Port Fieldbus Interface Device—The PCI-FBUS connects FOUNDATION Fieldbus devices to standard desktop or industrial PCs. The 2-port interface connects to H1 (31.25 kb/s) networks and runs as a Link Master or Basic Device. With it, a PCI bus computer can be the host in a FOUNDATION Fieldbus system. The included NI-FBUS Communications Manager software for Windows and OPC 2.0-compliant servers provides a high-level interface to FOUNDATION Fieldbus devices, so you do not need in-depth knowledge of lower-level Fieldbus protocols. You can use the software in HMI and DCS applications for control and data collection on the Fieldbus.
