Overview

The Battery Test System Software Suite is a collection of NI software for developing, executing, debugging, and deploying test programs to an NI Linux Real-Time CompactRIO target in the Battery Test System measurement rack.

Notes

  • LabVIEW and SystemLink Client are not included in the Battery Test System Software Suite license.
  • To use SystemLink, you must have a dedicated SystemLink server.
  • Several VeriStand Custom Devices are also installed with the Battery Test System Software Toolkit. For more information, refer to the Battery Test System Software Toolkit Readme.

Supported Operating Systems

Battery Test System Software Suite supports Windows 10 (64-bit).

Installation Instructions

Download the Battery Test System Software Suite installer from ni.com/downloads. NI software includes NI Package Manager to handle the installation. Refer to the NI Package Manager Manual for more information about installing, removing, and upgrading NI software using NI Package Manager.

Use the serial number that is listed on the Certificate of Ownership that shipped with your system to activate VeriStand, TestStand, and the Battery Test System Software Toolkit.

Notes

  • For more information on Battery Test System Software Suite activation, refer to Activating a Product.
  • You can also install the Battery Test System Software Toolkit separately from ni.com/downloads. You can deselect items for installation, however the default selected items are required to use the Battery Test System Software Toolkit. If you do not currently have a license for VeriStand and TestStand, NI recommends that you use the default installation process using the evaluation period to obtain the appropriate license.

Automating the Installation of NI Products

You can automate the installation of most NI products using command-line arguments to suppress some or all of the installer user interface and dialog boxes.

If the NI product you are installing uses Microsoft .NET 4.0, the .NET installer may run before any NI software installs and may require a reboot before the installation of NI software begins. To avoid a .NET reboot, install .NET 4.0 separately before you install NI software.
