Overview

The NI InsightCM Motor Monitoring System (MMS) Toolkit 2.0 is an add-on for NI InsightCM™ Server 2.0. After Installing the NI InsightCM MMS Toolkit, NI InsightCM Server allows you to configure NI Motor Monitoring Systems, manage the data that the NI Motor Monitoring Systems acquire and store, manage alarms, and so on.


System Requirements

The NI InsightCM MMS Toolkit has the same system requirements as NI InsightCM Server 2.0. Refer to the NI InsightCM Server 2.0 Readme for system requirements and supported operating systems for NI InsightCM Server 2.0.

Installation Instructions

Complete the following steps to install the NI InsightCM MMS Toolkit:


Note  Visit ni.com/info and enter the Info Code USBGuideSpec for the USB flash drive user guide and specifications.


  1. Insert the NI InsightCM MMS Toolkit installation USB drive in the server machine.
  2. Run setup.exe.
  3. Follow the installer prompts, enter any required information, and activate when prompted, if necessary.

Refer to the NI InsightCM Motor Monitoring System Toolkit Help, accessible from the National Instruments\InsightCM\Web\help\manuals directory, for information about the NI InsightCM MMS Toolkit.


Automating the Installation of NI Products

You can automate the installation of most NI products using command-line arguments to suppress some or all of the installer user interface and dialog boxes. However, starting with the August 2012 releases (products using NI Installers version 3.1 or later), you may need to perform additional steps before or during a silent installation of NI software.


If the NI product you are installing uses Microsoft .NET 4.0, the .NET installer may run before any NI software installs and may require a reboot before the installation of NI software begins. To avoid a .NET reboot, install .NET 4.0 separately before you install NI software.
