If you are using an NI PXIe-4138/4139 with NI-DCPower 14.1.1 or earlier:
If you are using an NI PXIe-4138 or NI PXIe-4139 it is possible for the NI-DCPower Self Calibrate function to add an offset error to voltage and current measurement across all output modes and ranges, potentially causing outputs and measurements to fall outside of their specified accuracy ranges. Updating to NI-DCPower 14.1.2 and running a self-cal will resolve this issue.
If you are using NI-DCPower 1.9 or 14.0:
Occasionally, when your chassis is powered on or when your module is reset, certain NI PXIe-4138/4139 modules can start up in an error state. When this occurs, both front panel LEDs will be red and running a self-test in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) will return an
Internal Hardware Error (-235140). When this occurs, restarting the chassis usually resolves the error. Updating to NI-DCPower 14.1.2 will prevent this behavior from occurring again.
If you are using NI-DCPower 14.1:
If there is any NI-DCPower board in your system that is in an error state when the chassis boots, if you are using the System Configuration API it will fail to identify any NI-DCPower board in the system the first time that it is pinged. The System Configuration API will work properly after the initial request. Removing the failing board from the system will fix the issue. The NI-DCPower Soft Front Panel (SFP) internally depends on the System Configuration API, so if there is a board in your system in an error state it is possible that the SFP will not correctly show all NI-DCPower devices in the system the first time that it is launched. Updating to NI-DCPower 14.1.2 will prevent this behavior from occurring again.
