The NI-DAQmx .NET application crashes on launch with version 21.0

Any .NET application that uses the NI-DAQmx .NET API will crash on launch if used on a system that has NI-DAQmx version 21.0 installed. The resulting error will look like: System.IO.FileLoadException : Could not load file or assembly 'NationalInstruments.DAQmx.dll' or one of its dependencies. A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007045A) This happens whether the application was built against NI-DAQmx .NET API version 21.0 or it was built against an earlier version.

Workaround:

There is currently no known workaround for this issue.
