64-bit TestStand does not support the following features:

  • IVI Step Types—Use code modules to communicate with IVI drivers.
  • HTBasic Adapter—HTBasic steps do not execute in 64-bit TestStand.
  • Measurement Studio C++ MFC data types—No 64-bit version of Measurement Studio C++ MFC exists.

As a workaround, you can use these features indirectly from 64-bit TestStand by remotely executing a sequence using 32-bit TestStand. However, because this technique increases overhead and forfeits the benefits the 64-bit architecture offers, NI recommends using this technique only as a temporary solution or in situations in which these features perform only a limited role in the test system. If these features are a major or critical part of the test system, NI recommends using 32-bit TestStand.
