Configure Menu
The Configure menu in a TestStand User Interface contains the following options for editing sequences and steps:
- Station Options —Launches the Station Options dialog box, in which you can set preferences for a TestStand station. These settings affect all sequence editor and user interface sessions you run on the computer.
- Search Directories —Launches the Edit Search Directories dialog box, in which you can customize the search paths for finding files. The Edit Search Directories dialog box displays a list of paths. The paths that appear first in the list take precedence over the paths that appear later in the list. When you first run TestStand, the list contains a default set of directory paths.
- External Viewers —Launches the Configure External Viewers dialog box, in which you can specify the external viewer, such as Microsoft Notepad or Microsoft Edge, for each report format .
- Adapters —Launches the Adapter Configuration dialog box, in which you can configure a specific module adapter, specify the active module adapter, or configure whether the adapter is not visible on the Insertion Palette pane.
-
Result Processing
—Launches the default
Result Processing
dialog box, in
which you enable or disable the installed built-in and custom result processing model plug-ins
in the active result processing configuration, such as the Generate Reports model plug-in and the Database model plug-in, and also configure how the model plug-ins process
test results. You can insert multiple instances of the same plug-in with various configuration
options. Click the icon in the Options column for each built-in plug-in to launch the Options
dialog box, in which you set options specific to the plug-in. For example, click the options icon
for the Offline Results File plug-in to launch the
Offline Results File Generation Options
dialog
box, in which you specify options for determining the directory location for result files, writing
the results to the file on-the-fly or after each UUT completes, limiting the number of UUTs per
file, automatically starting and/or exiting the TestStand Offline Results Processing Utility.
Note If you are using the equivalent legacy TestStand 2010 process models, the Configure menu includes the following items:
- Report Options —Launches the Report Options dialog box, in which you enable UUT report generation and configure the report type and content of report files.
- Database Options —Launches the Database Options dialog box, in which you enable UUT result logging and configure the schema for mapping results to database tables and columns.
- Model Options —Launches the Model Options dialog box, in which you configure the number of test sockets and other process model-related options.
