You can save the state machine in the database as a whole or partial graphic.

Saving to Database

When saving to the database, the information about the graphical arrangement of the following are stored:

  • Elements
  • State machines
  • Transitions
  • State names and numbers
  • Code

Only save the state machine to the database if there are no compile errors. Compile errors display in the Message window. If you save the state machine with compile errors, you cannot successfully generate a test to use the state machine.

Use one of following options to save the state machine:

  • Click the save () in the icon bar.
  • Select File » Save state machine (to DB).
  • Press Ctrl + S .

After saving successfully, the button and the menu entry are disabled.

Saving as a Graphic

When you save as a graphic, an image is created from the state machine of the tab that is active in the chart view. The file format is EMF (Enhanced MetaFile).
