A PAscript group consists of one PAscript program.

The PAscript program is subject to the PAscript syntax. Clearly mark each PAscript program in a test with a PAscript name. In a test, you cannot have two PAscript programs that have the same name.

  1. Launch the Development area in PAconfigurator.
  2. On the Explorer tab, select the folder in which you want to add a PAscript group, then complete one of the following actions:
    • Right-click on the object type and select New button from context menu.
    • Right-click anywhere inside the Explorer area to the right of the object hierarchy tree and select New button from context menu.
    • Click the Red New button in toolbar area button on the Explorer tab toolbar.
    The New Object in:<Folder Name> dialog appears with a list of available objects for the specific folder.
  3. Select PAscript.
    The Select Program dialog appears.
  4. Select a PAscript Name.
  5. Optional: If needed, disable Use as Name for Group.
    The default for Use as Name for Group is enabled.
  6. Optional: Enter a Description for the PAscript program.
  7. Click Save.
    The new PAscript program appears in the list of objects.
  8. Optional: If you disabled Use as Name for Group, enter a name for the new PAscript program.
When you double-click the PAscript program from the object list, the program opens in PAscript.
