NI recommends using a hardware rack for multi-chassis systems. Select a hardware rack that complies with the following specifications.

  • Width—762 mm (30 in.)
  • Preferred Rack Depth—889 mm (35 in.)
  • Minimum Rack Depth—812 mm (32 in.)
  • Minimum Height—26 units
  • Rack Mount Spacing—482.6 mm (19 in.)

    • Purchase the following rack mount kits for each PXIe chassis in your system:

    • Front Rack Mount: 786371-01
    • Rear Rack Mount: 786372-01

    NI recommends placing the components in the rack as shown in the following figure.
