Double-click a rule, right-click a rule and select Edit Rule from the context menu, or click the Edit Rule button located to the right of the Rule ID column on the Rules tab of the Configure Sequence Analyzer Available Rules dialog box to launch the Edit Rule dialog box, in which you can view general and advanced settings for built-in rules and create and edit general and advanced settings for custom rules.

The Edit Rule dialog box contains the following tabs:

• General —Edits the ID, category, severity, name, and description of the rule.
• Advanced —Edits the resource string category and configuration option of the rule.
