Configure the SQL Server for use with PAtools.

  1. From the Windows menu, open the SQL Server Configuration Manager.
    The SQL Server Configuration Manager automatically installs when you execute the SQL<year>-SSEI-Expr.exe during Installing the SQL Server.
  2. Select SQL Server Services » SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS<year>)
  3. From Build-in account, select Local System, then click OK.
  4. Select SQL Server Network Configuration » Protocols for SQLEXPRESS<year> » TCP/IP and enable the TCP/IP protocol.
    Note The TCP/IP protocol is disabled by default.
    1. For IPAII, remove 0 from the TCP Dynamic Ports.
    2. For IPAII, enter 1439 for TCP Port.
    3. Click OK.
  5. Right-click SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS<year>) and select Restart.
